Information and purposes
The contact form collects your name, email address and message, together with the page language. I use these details to answer your inquiry, discuss potential work and manage related correspondence. Providing them is voluntary, but all three visible fields are needed to send the form. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or information about others that is unnecessary for your inquiry.
Hosting and form processing
Netlify, Inc. provides website hosting and Netlify Forms receives and stores submitted messages on my behalf. Hosting and spam protection may also process technical request data, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and timestamps, to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate faults. Email correspondence is also handled by the email services used by the sender and recipient.
Service providers and overseas processing
Netlify is a US-based provider and uses subprocessors. Hosting and inquiry data may therefore be processed outside Japan, where data-protection rules can differ. Netlify’s
Data Processing Agreement describes its contractual processing and security commitments; its
subprocessor information identifies its providers and locations. Please contact me for information about the overseas processing arrangements and safeguards relevant to your data. I do not sell inquiry information or use it for unsolicited marketing. Apart from the service-provider processing described here, personal data is provided to others only with your consent or where permitted or required by applicable law.
Retention and security
I retain inquiries and related correspondence only while needed to respond, discuss or carry out work, meet legal recordkeeping duties or address a dispute. My policy is to delete information that is no longer needed, including copies in form storage and email. The website does not automatically delete submitted messages after a fixed period. You can ask about the retention and security measures for your information using the contact details above. Netlify’s security commitments are described in the agreement linked above.
Cookies and external services
This portfolio includes no analytics or advertising trackers. Images, videos and fonts are served with the website. Hosting and security processing described above still occurs. Following links to Instagram, YouTube or other external websites takes you to services with their own privacy practices.
Requests and complaints
Subject to APPI’s conditions and exceptions, you may request notification of the purpose of use; disclosure of retained personal data and applicable third-party provision records; correction, addition or deletion of inaccurate data; or cessation of use, erasure or cessation of third-party provision. I may ask for proportionate identity verification and will respond without undue delay, including an explanation if a request cannot be fulfilled. Any additional rights under other applicable laws remain unaffected.
